Top 5 User Analytics Tools for App Developers

Are you considering launching a mobile app for your online business? Need to track user data to ensure your app is delivering the features your customers want? There are a variety of helpful user analytics tools you can consider integrating into your app’s infrastructure. Following are five finds you can consider:

Adjust’s analytics platform offers a number of excellent features for mobile app developers. Customize your campaigns according to your business’ current needs. Track KPI data for a specific feature within your app or segment your data analysis according to user behavior. Adjust integrates with both iTunes and Google Play data to help you understand the performance of your app as compared to similar apps in your category.

If you’re planning to develop on the iOS platform, Appsee is worth investigating. Add Appsee’s software development kit to your code and you’ll be able to record user engagement with your app in real time. Track everything from registration interactions to application crash events.

Countly provides an open-source analytics platform to mobile developers. Track a variety of data outputs including app version, screen resolution, geographic location, and device used. If you only integrate one analytics platform into your app’s development, Countly just might be your best choice.

Available for the iOS platform, Heatmaps lets you track physical user engagement with your application. Follow everything from page swipes to image pinches. Each time a user interacts with your application, you’ll be able to view their moves in real time. Discover user engagement flows as well as orientation preferences (landscape or portrait). The more data you discover, the better your next app updates will be for your users.

If traditional analytics aren’t offering you enough data, consider integrating YouEye into your analysis efforts. YouEye enables one-on-one video interviews with your users. Find out first-hand your audience’s preferences or dislikes and discover features your users would like to see added to your app.

Maintaining a mobile app offering your users find engaging and helpful is made easier if you pay attention to ongoing interactions with your product. Integrating analytics into your product helps you not only discover problem areas but also potential spin-off applications you might overlook (high user interaction counts). Will you be considering any of the above-listed tools as you develop your software?

Today, I went too the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said
“You can hear the ocean if you put it to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL! I know the advice on your blog is much better than mine.
